How do I calculate what DentalConnect would cost for my office?
It’s really simple! First, let’s count all the phones that you will want in your practice. Most dental offices have a handful of phones in the front office, perhaps a phone in the doctor’s office, and maybe one phone back in the lab. Now, decide if you would like to enroll in the DentalConnect or DentalConnect+ plan.
If you decided to opt for the DentalConnect plan, you need to decide if you want any of the add-ons. You can optionally select the Mobile App and Reminder Dental.
From there, we simply add the total with the prices given above.
Let’s do an example together. Say we have a dental office that needs 3 phones at the front desk, 1 phone in the doctor’s office, and 1 phone in the lab. We decide that everything will be enrolled in the DentalConnect plan. We decide that the office manager and the doctor will both need the mobile app. We also want automated text messaging, so we opt in for Reminder Dental. We take the total number of phones (5) and multiply by $20. This puts us at $100 per month. We then add $10 for the mobile app (2 mobile apps multiplied by $5) and $50 dollars for Reminder Dental. Our total monthly cost for all of this would be just $160 per month!
Can I keep my current office phone number?
Absolutely yes! We can port your number from your existing phone provider to our system. There is a one-time $25 port fee.
A port normally takes 5 business days to complete. To keep things running smoothly, we provision a temporary phone number. We forward your existing phone number to this temporary number. Your patients will continue to call your existing phone number which will ring through to your office.
Once the port finishes, the temporary number is removed from the account. The important takeaway is that there is zero downtime and your patients call the same number during the entire process.
Will I need to buy new phones for my office?
Possibly. We can use almost every VoIP phone with our phone service. If you own your own VoIP phones, then we can just provision what you have on our service and save you the added cost of additional hardware.
If you do not have VoIP phones, then we can recommend some cost-effective options. There are some great basic phone choices from many companies like Grandstream and Yealink.
Some of the office we work with prefer to rent the phones from us. That is an option as well. Phone rentals start at just $3 per phone per month. The benefit to this option is that if the phone stops working, we will replace it for free. We will also upgrade your phones in your office every three years. This means you are using the latest and greatest phones with all of the newly available features.
How long does it take to setup?
We can setup your entire office on our phone system in as little as an hour. During the setup, we make sure that there is no downtime. You can take phone calls regularly while we work, so there is no need to shut the office down.
