Send Email Securely with HIPAA Compliant Encryption
Send and receive email with your patients and other medical professionals using a fully encrypted, HIPAA compliant email solution. When you send an encrypted email, your patients and colleagues will be directed to a secured viewing portal. This portal can be customized with your practice’s name and logo.
Give a truly professional image to all your patients with an email that has your practice name in the domain rather than a generic @gmail.com or @yahoo.com. Many email solutions like Gmail, Outlook.com, and Yahoo! Mail are actually consumer grade solutions. They lack the end-to-end encryption that HIPAA requires when sending protected health information.
Our technicians will not only setup and configure DentalEmail for you, but they will also migrate all your email from your old solution. This means you don’t miss anything by moving from one email solution to another. We all know how important it is to keep those critical emails!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate what DentalEmail would cost for my office?
It’s really simple! First, let’s count the total number of email addresses that your practice will require. Many dental practices will get a generic email for the office, an email for the practice manager, and an email for the doctor/owner. Then, decide if you would like to enroll in the DentalEmail or DentalEmail+ plan.
From there, we simply multiply the number of email address by the prices given above.
Let’s do an example together. Say we have a dental office that wants three email addresses (one generic email for the office and one address for the office manager and doctor each). We decide that the DentalEmail plan meets our needs. We then multiply the total number of email addresses (3) by the price ($20) for a total monthly cost of just $60.
Why should we consider backing up our email?
While not necessary, having a good solution that backs up your email can be a lifesaver. Major email vendors like Microsoft and Google do not provide a backup solution for their email services. If you delete an email, it is gone!
The DentalEmail+ plan includes a service that backs up all email, calendar, and online documents. This can become very useful for when an email goes missing that is critical to the practice.
A real-life example may help to emphasize how important this service can be. An office once called Bear Bones IT asking for help in recovering some very important emails. A disgruntled employee had decided to delete a large number of emails just before quitting. For good measure, the employee then deleted the emails in the trash can. By the time the office noticed the emails were missing, and it was too late.
Had this office been using DentalEmail+, all the emails that were lost could have easily been recovered. We highly recommend that an office consider DentalEmail+ when they have multiple people accessing the same mailbox with the ability to delete email. In the example above, there was intent to do harm, but sometimes it can just be a simple mistake.
What is anti-phishing and why do I need that in my email solution?
A typical dental practice will receive a large number of emails every day. Cyber criminals use emails to gain access to computer networks and access to other online services. The do this by launching programs or trying to steal login credentials.
A good example of a phishing email is a fraudulent email that alerts you to suspicious activity on your credit card. The email may have a link that you can click on to see the fraudulent activity. The link takes you to a sign in page that looks exactly like the sign in page for your bank, but it is a fake duplicate. Once you enter your credentials, the cyber criminals have captured your login information to your bank. From there, more damage can easily be done to you and your practice.
Anti-phishing software will alert you to the fraudulent email before you have a chance to click on it. This saves you the time that you would have otherwise spent trying to deal with the after math of a successful phishing attempt.
Anti-phishing software should be viewed as important as your anti-virus software. It has been used many times to cause significant damage to dental practices. Stay ahead of this threat with our DentalEmail+ solution.
Can you help me with getting email on my phone, tablet, or laptop?
Absolutely yes! Our technicians will install, configure, and train you and your team on using your new email solution. Did we mention that there are no setup fees?
