How do I calculate what DentalProtect would cost for my office?
It’s really simple! First, let’s count all the servers you have in your office. Most offices just have one server, although some offices may have a dedicated server for image acquisition. Then, decide if you would like your servers enrolled in the DentalProtect or DentalProtect+ plan.
Next, we just count the total number of workstations in the office. (These are the computers found at the front desk and throughout the office such as in the operatories, doctor’s office, and the computer next to the pano.) We need to decide if we want our workstations to be enrolled in the DentalProtect or DentalProtect+ plan.
From there, we simply add the total with the prices given above.
Let’s do an example together. Say we have a dental office with 1 Dentrix server and 10 workstations (3 computers in the front office, 5 computers in the operatories, 1 acquisition station, and 1 computer in the doctor’s office). We decide that everything will be enrolled in the DentalProtect plan. We take the server at $150 and add $50 for the workstations (10 computers multiplied by $5). The total monthly cost for this office would be just $200!
What does business hours and after hours support cover?
With both DentalProtect and DentalProtect+ plans, your office will be provided with business hours support. This covers almost anything IT related you can think of. From helping with a printer problem to installing and configuring intra-oral sensors. We can quickly connect to your computer or server remotely to resolve whatever problems you are facing. We can also help with important IT tasks like updating your Practice Management Software to the latest version.
The DentalProtect+ plan includes after hours support. If your office requires an update that needs to be performed after regular business hours, then this is the requisite plan. In addition, we will monitor systems and fix issues after hours if necessary. This ensures that your office is up and running, ready for the next day when patients show up expecting everything to run smoothly.
What type of support is not covered?
There are certain support items that we do not include as part of our DentalProtect plans. Remodeling or construction type projects can be accommodated, but needs to be priced out separately.
An example of this would be if a dental office decides to move to a new building, the transport, setup, wiring, and configuration would be priced out as its own project.
Another item that is not included as part of our DentalProtect support offering is warranty work for dental equipment. An example would be a CBCT that needs a component replaced. We will help facilitate with your dealer the replacement, but your dealer may charge you for the parts and labor.
